We only use your data to help us provide and improve our services, and to keep you up to date with what’s happening at The Treehouse if you ask us to. We will never share your data with third parties who aren’t necessary for providing our services.
We gather personal data in several ways – when you visit our website, when you make a booking, when you become a member and when you sign up for updates from us. Depending on the situation, we will record different data.
When you visit our website, cookies will automatically record information on your device hardware, software and settings using text files stored on your machine. When you make a booking, whether through our website, over the phone or in person, we will gather the data necessary to record and identify your booking. This can include names, telephone numbers, email addresses, card details and booking comments. Bookings are processed through Collins, a third-party application.
When you purchase event tickets through our website, in addition to the above we will also record your billing address. Ticket sales are processed through Stripe, a third-party application.
If you become a Treehouse member, we will record your name, email address and marketing preferences.
If you sign up for our newsletter, we will record your email address. Our newsletter is administered through Mailchimp.
Any personal data that we gather is held securely in the UK, the EEA or other countries where sufficient levels of data security have been demonstrated, for example through the EU-US Privacy Shield.
We will email you as necessary to allow us to provide our services to you – this may include booking confirmation emails, post-visit feedback emails and information on updates to our membership scheme. We will only contact you with marketing information if we have your prior consent, either by signing up to our mailing list or by giving your consent when becoming a member.
You can always opt-out of receiving marketing emails through the included ‘unsubscribe’ link, or you can let us know directly at email@example.com. We will still contact you with emails necessary to provide our services (e.g. booking confirmation emails). We will not pass your details to any third parties for marketing purposes.
We will retain your details for as long as necessary for us to provide our services to you. At any point you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and request a copy of the personal data that we hold about you, or that we delete that data.
