Welcome to The Treehouse
The Treehouse is Sheffield's first board game cafe, a friendly, welcoming space for gamers old and new to explore our library of 400+ games, with expert staff on hand to make recommendations and help with the rules.
Alongside the games, we serve a full menu of delicious homemade food, locally-sourced tea and coffee, and a wide range of draught craft beer, wines and spirits.
Find us on Boston Street just outside the city centre off London Road, next door to The Forge student village.

Tuesday to Friday: 11am to 11pm
Saturday: 10am to 11pm
Sunday: 10am to 10pm
Monday: closed all day
We often fill up in the evening and at the weekend, so we'd always recommend booking ahead at these times to make sure we have a table ready for you. You can use our online booking form or give us a call on 0114 3271364 to reserve your table.
Occasionally our opening times change due to special events - please check Google for any alterations. If you have a booking with us then don't worry - the cafe is definitely open at that time!
How it works
For those visiting us to play, there is a games cover charge of £5 per person for a four-hour session (under 5s are free, under 16s are half price). This provides unlimited access to our library plus support from our staff as needed.
The cover charge applies to everyone in the evening after 7pm and all day at the weekends, which helps to ensure that The Treehouse is always a great environment for gaming. Before 7pm on weekdays we also operate as a regular cafe, with no cover charge for those who would just like a drink or a bite to eat.
We offer a free cover for students and pensioners before 7pm on weekdays, and a half price cover for students after 7pm on Wednesdays.
We have a membership scheme for those who visit regularly, which gives you a half-price cover charge on every visit, plus 10% off games from our shop and from Patriot Games (our friendly local game shop in Sheffield city centre) for £25 per year.
